Meet American director Zach Cregger, who is currently filming the next instalment of the Resident Evil film series in Prague. A distinctive genre filmmaker, he rose to fame with his 2022 feature Barbarian and is now enjoying worldwide success with his horror epic Weapons. In a discussion with film journalist Viktor Palák, he will explore how horror cinema builds tension, atmosphere, and fear. The program will also include a screening of Weapons. The discussion will be held in English without translation.

Zach Cregger
Zach Cregger is an American comedian, actor, and filmmaker, best known as a founding member of the comedy troupe The Whitest Kids U' Know. After starring in TV shows like Friends with Benefits and Wrecked, he made a huge leap into filmmaking. In 2022, Cregger wrote and directed the horror hit Barbarian, which became a major success, praised for its unique blend of suspense and dark humor. In 2025, Weapons, his follow-up horror project, also received critical acclaim for its gripping storytelling and innovative approach. Both films solidified Cregger's reputation as a standout director in the genre.
